Crack control of mass concrete and related issues concerning early-age of concrete structures
programme
The CONCRACK 3 workshop has consisted in invited selected lectures and presentations on:
- The JCI guidelines for crack control of mass concrete (and the associated scientific background).
- The thermo-hygro-mechanical issues dealt with in the French R&D joint program CEOS.fr and the associated Mefisto project: early-age concrete thermal crack survey in restrained shrinkage experiments, used for a benchmark of different models.
- Justification and updating provisions concerning Delayed Ettringite Formation prevention and associated thermal computations tools.
The opening lecture by Pierre Labbé (EDF, CEO of the French national project CEOS.fr) has recalled the needs of early-age cracking and thermal control issues. In the closing session experts have given an overview of the international scientific and technical prospects on these subjects (experimentations and modeling).
